PROJECT OVERVIEW
THE PRODUCT
Daisy is a conceptual mobile app who’s goal is help their users create long lasting habits. They’re geared towards empowering their users to easily prioritize their self-care by creating an app that helps them monitor their vitamins/medications, water intake, and mood. Their target customers are young individuals who are looking to prioritize their self-care.

TOOLS
Google Sheets, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Maze, Figma, Grammarly
THE PROBLEM
Young individuals aren’t provided with budget friendly options that help them monitor their medication and water intake to aid them in creating long lasting habits.
THE GOAL
Design a mobile application as well as a responsive site for Daisy, a new app that’s hoping to empower their users to prioritize their self-care.
MY ROLE
UX designer designing the application and responsive website for Daisy from conception to delivery, including brand identity and UX research.
Process
Empathize
The Summary
I conducted interviews and was able to create an empathy map to try and understand the users I would be designing for. A majority group that was identified through my initial research were young individuals that didn’t have the financial flexibility to seek out professional assistance in achieving what self-care looks like for them.
Research was able to reveal that cost wasn’t the only contributing factor as to what products these individuals used as a part of their self-care routine, but they often sought out products that worked around their schedule like a mobile app.

Ideation
I was able to do a quick ideation exercise to generate ideas for how to address the gaps I identified in the competitive audit. My focus was on medication/vitamin and water tracking features.
Prototype
Digital Wireframes
After ideating and drawing paper wireframes, I was able to create the initial designs for Daisy’s mobile application. These designs were primarily centered around providing users with a way to track and manage their daily vitamins/medications and water intake.

Usability Testing
I conducted two rounds of usability testing for this project, both were conducted remotely via Maze to allow participants the ability to fit in the study according to their schedule.

Responsive Design
After designing the app, I began to start working on the responsive website for Daisy. I conducted competitive research to create a sitemap for the design.
Conclusion
Impact
Users shared that the app made tracking medications/supplements, water intake, and their mood convenient. One user provided the following quote “I could see how using Daisy would help me create new habits, I love how friendly the app is and it encourages me to want to be more proactive in my own personal self-care.”
What I learned
I learned that there’s a clear market for products to help young adults begin establish long lasting habits. With that said, I believe that Daisy would benefit from further user research in order to hone in further on what users would want to see the app be able to do for them.
Next Steps
If I were to continue to work on this project, I would take the steps below in order to do so.
Step 1
Conduct additional research on how the app fits within users day-to-day lives to help identify and potential gaps.
Step 2
Explore additional ways to help users track their daily moods, perhaps this could be in the form of a journaling feature so users can add short notes to share at their next therapy appointment or to keep as an emotional log.
Step 3
Find a way to create a community among the Daisy users, this could be in the form of a blog shared as articles within the app that cover popular topics revolving
